Concept
Visualize the leap of life and the connection between hearts.
Overview
An interactive installation that can synchronize users’ heartbeats to change the color of lights accordingly.
Process
Visualize heartbeats through the light. Use the pulse sensor to get the frequency of the heartbeat and control the light and audio player so that the light and sound can be synchronized with the heartbeat.
Only half of a heart can be lit when one person is connected.
Two people wear the pulse sensor separately. Since the heartbeats of two people may not be perfectly synchronized, the two halves of the heart will have different colors, and the sound is not synchronized, too.
When two people gradually adjust the frequency of breathing, their heart rates can gradually converge. Once their heartbeats hit at the same time, the two halves of the heart will show the same color and the sound will be synchronized to become one complete heart.
